This year is flying by. It seems like just yesterday I was starting RA training and now I am already up to a couple of my first exam and papers in the next week. The year has been full of excitement. The first major excitement is the success of birdcage ( a pep club organization ) of which I am president. So far we have recruited nearly 200 members. I got a job offer from a very large business, it was very flattering but I am lets see what else has happened. O Yeah this one really shocked me I mean I was kind of expecting job offers and success of bird cage but one thing I would never have expected to happen to me while I am at CU was to be nominated for homecoming king and to my surprise this year I was nominated for just that. This weekend is full of exciting events that I can’t wait to begin. Two of these events I am on the planning staff and I hope they are successful. The first is tonight, which is a mock of legends o the hidden. Many of you are young enough you may not remember legends of the hidden temple. It was the greatest game show ever on Nickelodeon back before the station started airing the cruddy shows they have now. Wow talking about that show makes me feel old. The other event is a bowling event that myself and another RA have organized for our floors. My guys are supper excited about going bowling but I think they are more excited about the fact that I the other floor is a girls floor. Well I guess that’s all for now but 1 last thing. first day

Hey again its the first day of class and things are off to a great start. I had two classes toady an advance accounting class, and an anthropology class. I am excited i also get my cast removed today. Well not much else, I am off to class but I will chat longer tongiht about what the day has entailed.

Wow! So it has been a long couple of days. I am a RA at the greatest hall on campus, which of course is Swanson Hall. It has good and bad however; good is obvious big room and the best residents however the bad is that move in takes four days in this hall because of the combonation of freshman and sophomores. Move in has been exhausting but my freshman men living on the north wing of the 7th floor are all amazing. We did a pizza floor dinner the other day and that was pretty exciting. I love the begining of the year. I have ran into all of my old friends that i have not seen all summer. My calender is quickly filling up between blue crew events, bird cage exec meetings, res life functions for the RAs and of course classes.

Hey all, I'm Josh Shetler and a first time blogger. I am currently in the summer between my sophomore and jr. years. I am an accounting major with an intent to attend to law school. I am also very involved in many groups on campus inculding the bird cage and a resident assistant in res life over the next year I will use this blog to show everyone what the life of a creighton student is. Also this year I am very excited about taking a bigger part in residence life as a resident assistant. Speaking of that I better turn in my quiz online, I'll see you all soon.
