Jim and Reta HickleWe just returned from a two week whirlwind trip visiting both boys.  Alan just graduated from Creighton in May and is now gainfully employed with Epic Systems in Madison WI in Inplementation Services installing the Hospital Inpatient Records Application.  He begins by traveling to the east coast, and surprising enough getting the opportunity to visit a couple of his fellow Creighton classmates.  Tyson is back at Creighton  for his Junior year and living off campus for the first time.  We also realized this is the first time he is alone with out his big brother or parents around.  Reta and I and back to the &qu ... Dr. Linda LazureThis is the first time I have ever blogged, so bear with me.

The School of Nursing is busy welcoming students for the new semester. The Student Affairs area has chocolate in the candy dish.

I am happily busy talking with students who need schedule changes, want to stop in and visit and need some help getting overrides into classes. I also talk with nursing students who want to study abroad.

Liam DawsonToday I woke up very early for a morning run with the Cross-Country team at 7am.  As a team we ran four miles this morning, but the run did not go as well as I had hoped for myself, because of the tendonitis in my patella (aka my knee).

Once I finished running I headed back to my room to get ready for my first class of the fall semester: Elementary Education as Movement Educators (P.E.).  After my 9:30 class I had a break until 11:30 so I went back to my room and made 2 PB&J's.  After I ate I headed to the bookstore to buy some last minute things for my next three classes.

My last class of the afternoon finished at 2:20.  I headed for the athletic training office immediately after class to recieve treatment on my kn ... Read More »

Liam DawsonThe day before fall semester classes begin is also a bitter-sweet moment for me.  I remember as a freshman last year I was so excited for classes to begin, becasue it was going to be the start of the next few chapters of my life: COLLEGE.  I didn't really know what to expect; were my classes going to be easy or a challenge I did not know, but one thing was for sure it would be a great adventure.  Now entering my sophomore year I am beginning to wonder the same things how will my classes be this year; fun, exciting, monotonous, easy, or a challenge.  But this time around I have developed better study habits, because without some good study habits the first few days and maybe weeks of classes m ... Josh ShetlerWow! So it has been a long couple of days. I am a RA at the greatest hall on campus, which of course is Swanson Hall. It has good and bad however; good is obvious big room and the best residents however the bad is that move in takes four days in this hall because of the combonation of freshman and sophomores. Move in has been exhausting but my freshman men living on the north wing of the 7th floor are all amazing. We did a pizza floor dinner the other day and that was pretty exciting. I love the begining of the year. I have ran  into all of my old friends that i have not seen all summer. My calender is quickly filling up between blue crew events, bird cage exec meetings, res life functions for the RAs and of course classes.
